COVID-19 claims its 30th victim in Cambodia

The Cambodian Ministry of Health announced the death of another COVID-19 patient this morning.

The 30th victim was a 61-year-old Cambodian woman who died from the deadly virus in Sangkat Prek Phnov, Khan Prek Phnov and Luang Mey Hospital in Phnom Penh. She passed away at 18:30 on April 11, 2021.

The Ministry of Health said that the patient was found to be positive for COVID-19 and was taken to Luang Mey Hospital at 22:30 pm on March 30, 2021.

Due to the patient’s serious condition, shortness of breath and diabetes, the doctor used a ventilator to perform mechanical rescue, but the patient could not be saved.

She was declared dead due to acute respiratory distress and pneumonia caused by COVID-19.
