The COVID-19 situation in Cambodia appears to show some positive signs, with 303 new cases, the lowest single-day figure so far this week, reported today while 239 patients have recovered from the viral attack.
Phnom Penh, the place with the worst situation in term of community infection, had 248 confirmed new cases, involving 245 Cambodians and 3 Chinese nationals.
The rest of the new cases were detected in the different provinces.
With the new cases, Cambodia’s total number of COVID-19 cases is now 7,747, of which 7,202 are linked to the February 20 Community Event.
Also today, 239 patients have been released from the treatment facilities after testing negative twice for the coronavirus, but they will be required to quarantined themselves at home for another 14 days before being considered virus-free. This has brought the Kingdom’s total recoveries to 2,794.
