After reporting 600 new cases for two consecutive days, Cambodia seems to be seeing a positive picture, as 431 new cases were reported, and all but two cases were related to the community incident.
As usual in the past few weeks, Phnom Penh reported the largest number of cases in a single day. Yesterday, 271 people (all Cambodians) tested positive for COVID-19.
At the same time, Sihanoukville reported a threefold increase again, with 133 new cases confirmed in the province this morning (132 Cambodians and 1 Vietnamese).
The remaining new patients were found in the following provinces:
– 4 cases of Kampong Cham (a 25-year-old Cambodian man, swapping a 26-year-old and 27-year-old Cambodian woman and an 8-year-old Cambodian girl)
– 1 case in Kampong Chhnang (a 57-year-old Cambodian man)
-1 case in Kampot (a 42-year-old Cambodian man)
– There are 2 cases in Prey Veng (including Cambodian women who were 18 years old)
– 1 case in Svay Rieng (a 50-year-old Cambodian man)
– Takeo 4 cases (3 Cambodian men, 41, 41 and 51 years old, and a 6-year-old Cambodian boy)
-Tbong Khmum (a 27-year-old Cambodian woman) has one case.
