Burma military jets continue to kill civilians and now over 20,000 are displaced in Northern Karen state

1 April 2021 – Burma Military Airstrikes Target Civilians, Schools, Children, Medical Clinics and a gold mine, 20,000 people are now displaced.
The Burma military have conducted airstrikes killing civilians in Karen state from 27 March until present 1 April 2021. They have also launched ground attacks and now over 20,000 people are in hiding. The most recent airstrikes killed men women and children in Dwe Lo Township, Papun District.
Killed;
20 year old Saw Byu Koh from Day Pu Noh. Killed instantly .
27 year old Saw Aye Lay Htoo died while holding his 2 year old son, his son was injured in blast but survived. Saw Aye Lay Htoo died instantly as a projectile hit him in the head.
28 March 2021 Saw Kee Doh, 46 years old from Day Pu Noh and Saw Htee How from Ee Thus Hta area on the Salween river.
30 March 2021 Saw Pah Lo Poe, M, 76 years old, Mae Kaw Lo village.
30 March 2021 3 killed 10 wounded May Way gold mining area, Dwe Lo township, Papun district. Waiting for names.
31 March 2021 6 killed and 11 wounded in Hsaw Hti township, Nyaunglebin district, waiting for names.

At least 14 villagers killed and 40 villagers wounded.
All these civilians were killed by airstrikes from the Burma Army. The Burma Army airstrikes have killed many more and have continued 31 March. At 13:30 31 March more bombs were dropped on Day Pu Noh village, targeting and destroying the village medical clinic. Fortunately all the medics had already moved the patients and are treating them in the jungle (picture below of medics treating patients in the junlge). More airstrikes were reported in Dwelo Township as well , casualties and wounded were reported but the rescuers are still tallying the numbers.

As the Burma Army fighter jets, believed to be MIG-29s or similar style war planes, target civilian villages, schools, children, and medical clinics, they have also bombed 102 Battalion KNLA Headquarters in Dwelo Township, as well as the KNDO 1 Battalion Headquarters along the Thai/Burma border, killing Saw Htee How (pictured below), a Karen soldier in that attack and wounding others. Saw Htee How leaves behind his wife who has asked for prayer.

One pig killed. 4 rice store burn down there are more than 300 tins of rice in there that burn, 3 rice stores destroyed. one rice miller destroyed, one iron buffalo was distroyed.
There were one killed ; Saw Pah Lo Poe, M, 76 years old, Mae Kaw Lo village. He died right away. He has 8 total family and his whole house was destroyed.There were also are 5 wounded,
1. Saw Pah Dah Chit, M, 16 years old, Mae Kaw Lo village
2. Naw He Thaw, F, 36 years old, Mae Kaw Lo village
3. Say Maw Mo, F, 45 years old, from Klo Kee but come and visit in Mae Kaw Lo
4. Ma Tay Paw, F, 36 years old, Mae Kaw Lo, she has very young baby
5. Saw April Htoo, M, 10 years old, Mae Kaw Lo village

There are 11 houses that were destroyed including all supplies in the house. According to our FBR teams there , he cannot yet get all the names of the people whose houses were destroyed because they are afraid and hiding everywhere. Our team has only been able to treat the wounded.

In Mae Way village tract, Dwe Lo Township, Papun district there are 9 villages that are newly in hiding.

8. Pway Pwa Kee and Mae Tha Su Lo

Also on 30 March, the Burma military air strikes strafed and bombed Kaw Poe Ke village and there were 3 houses destroyed, one rice store and one well. The rice store was burned with 100 tins of rice.
