The above plan is based on the “National Policy Framework” of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa. It will ensure that 2 million saplings will be planted within four years, and the local and eco-friendly plants inherent in each region will be planted. , Has arranged to plant 500,000 saplings in 2021.

Greening is limited to designated locations in Gampaha District to increase the minimum forest density and forest coverage in Gampaha District.

Many government officials including Congressman Nalin Fernando, State Secretary Professor Raanjith Dissanayake, Director of the Road Development Agency Chairman Chaminda Athuluwage and Central Environment Agency Chairman Amarasinghe attended the meeting.
