As Pope Francis is set to visit Iraq, the organizing committee declared wrapping up final preparations for the landmark visit. In a press conference, Patriarch Cardinal Mar Louis Raphael Sako expressed people’s enthusiasm and happiness regarding the Pope’s visit, adding that the visit will entail holding religious rituals and visiting historical landmarks. Sako pointed out that all the precautionary measures have been taken into consideration, noting that no official document has been signed between Al-Sistani and the Pope.
