After her separation from her husband, Shadan thought to run her project in Sulaymaniyah. Her determination on working derived from that Kurdish women in the Kurdistan region are courageous and daring with several stories to challenge her society fight against the obstacles that limit her freedom and independence. Shadan Hassan, a 40-year-old, separated from her husband and lived alone with her daughter in a rented apartment. She tried to find work, but in vain, due to the economic crises the region is facing, and the lack of business. She thought of setting a small tent in which she would sell bread to the residents of the area, so she finds financial means to fulfill her and her 13-year-old daughter’s needs.
