SDF: Liberating Baghouz Implies Eliminating ISIS Only Partially

To mark the second anniversary of liberating Baghouz, which was under ISIS’s grip, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) along with high-profile officials in the international coalition held a celebration in the Al Omar oil field in Deir ez-Zor Governorate. Captain Ahmed in the US Special Forces confirmed in a press conference that they will resume providing assistance to SDF to defeat ISIS sleep cells that lately became active in Deir ez-Zor. The commander of Deir Ez-Zor Military Council, Ahmad Abu Khawla clarified that military operations aren’t sufficient for eliminating ISIS.
