The Folklore Museum of the Kurdish House was established in 1998 and it is one of the most prominent heritages in Duhok, that represents the history and culture of the Kurdish people living in the mountainous areas and in which we find instruments, paintings, and wax statues that reflect the history of the Kurdish people. It was organized and arranged by a group of Kurdish artists, and it includes more than 8000 artifacts, as well as the traditional machines, old Kurdish clothes, and shoes. The museum is a tourist attraction whereas the Iraqi Kurds see it as an important educational monument to introduce the students to the lives of their ancestors.
