In the war-ravaged region and amid hardships that accompanied displacements, the owner of the “Kurdish house” didn’t give up his ambition in collecting more artifacts and antiques. Hamzah Ali intends to establish a museum that reflects his regional heritage. He stated that after four years of agony he was able to come back to his city. He developed a childhood hobby into a real-life job. As an antique collector, he illustrated that some people aren’t aware of the value that these pieces hold, which were inherited from fathers to sons. Because of the insecurity and the dire humanitarian conditions, people tend to get rid of anything that doesn’t directly help them in making their living. Along with the Kurdish house’s heritage value and its business aspect, many intellectuals, poets, singers held their events there
