In a press conference, an official in the Internal Security Forces -Asayish – affiliated to the Kurdish Autonomous Administration, Medea Khalil declared wrapping up the first two phases of combating- drugs campaign in cooperation with the health authority in north and east Syria. During which, 17 suspected working in medical warehouses were arrested and 9957 pills of the most addictive prescription drugs were seized. Moreover, 92 suspected were arrested, including 17 women involved in promoting and trafficking narcotic substances who were exploited for immoral acts. The security forces confiscated 77 kg of hashish, 150 grams of drug crystal, 45 grams of heroin and 171,000 Captagon pills, not to mention the arms cache that was possessed by these suspected.
