The President of Tunisia, Kais Saied, stated in a speech he made to a crowd of young people while touring in Al-Manhala area, his original residence, that the parties behind the subversive demonstrations just move in the weakness, and don’t seek to satisfy the demands of people rather sow anarchy in the society, demanding the demonstrators to value public property. Since the last few days, Tunisia has been witnessing a surge of popular demonstrations at night in most of the country’s governorates due to the worsening economic and social conditions and the tenth anniversary of the revolution of January 14, 2010.
