Residents of “Hukomia Camp” Endure Dire Humanitarian Conditions

In the northern countryside of Raqqa, the informal “Hukomia Camp” is suffering dire humanitarian conditions, lacking basic human necessities despite appeals from the Autonomous Administration. The camp houses more than 2000 tents, in which most of its residents fled from the eastern countryside of Aleppo governorate, Ain Issa, and its northern countryside. According to the humanitarian organizations’ office in the Autonomous Administration, the number of displaced people residing in informal camps is about 800 thousand, whereas, there are 16 formal camps that receive their aid from humanitarian organizations, dispersed in northern and eastern Syria, housing 120,000 displaced persons.
