Iran executes campaign of arrests against Kurdish activists in eastern Kurdistan

The Iranian security forces executed a campaign of arrests against activists, students, and Kurdish civilians in eastern Kurdistan and Tehran, where the number of detainees crossed 80 people till this moment. The representative of the Iranian Kurdish Komla opposition Party, Farzin Karbaschi, stated that a wave of arrests that started on the 8th of this month against several Kurdish activists, students and civilians in both eastern Kurdistan and Tehran, adding that the Iranian regime forces have jailed the prisoners without any specific accusation against them other than they are Kurds, and they are either sentenced to death or imprisonment for the lifetime.
