Gaza Bedouins Weave on the loom To preserve their Heritage

0 80

In a small tent knitted with ancient Bedouin fabric “Em Khalid” runs a workshop for weaving traditional Palestinian embroidery. With a weaving Handloom machine, she weaves rugs in addition to heritage decorative pieces while listening to the tunes of old Bedouin songs. It is believed that Em Khalid is the last one to work in such craft, given the difficulty that surrounds producing wool pieces, especially in light of the technological advancement.
