Fears of ISIS Families’ Return to their Areas

 Iraqi jurists pointed out that there is consternation among people, fearing ISIS families’ return to their areas. ISIS members, families, or tribes including activists, or prisoners who joined ISIS after 2014 are intended to go back to their areas. Amer Al-Bak – founder of the “Nineveh Movement for US” pointed out that people believe ISIS families’ return may pave the way for reviving ISIS activities. Despite painstaking efforts by officials and domestic entities to integrate former ISIS families into their communities, many obstacles are in the loom including security reasons, tribal issues, and sectarian matters.
