The absolute poverty, being homeless, and the banana his mother used to sell, are all that Lim Phea holds in his memory about his childhood. He grieved when he’s lost his hand as he couldn’t offer help to his mother after that. Therefore his only choice was the street to become a beggar. By the day, he nourished financially and became an owner of lands in Or Kroch Village or “New Land of Peace” in Tropoeung Prasat district, Odor Meanchey province. He never forgot how the poor helped him that he wanted to pay their debt back and not let a child grow homeless and taste the same bitterness he did in his childhood, so he pledged to donate the lands he owns to the poor, and so he does until this moment.
