Jurists denounce Iran’s execution of journalist Ruhollah Zam

Human rights organizations and journalists condemned the Iranian Revolutionary Court’s decision to sentence to death the prominent journalist, Ruhollah Zam. The Metro Center for the Protection of Journalists’ Rights and the Center for Democratic Development for Human Rights Watch denounced the death sentence against Zam, accusing the court of being  “unjust” and was based on “forced confessions” of the political prisoner.  Farzin Karbaschi, the representative of the Iranian opposition Kurdistan Party, described the sentence as “incomplete” and stated that the decision to execute “Zam” before the trial is a lesson for others.
