An Iraqi Painter Transfers Songs and Poems into Outstanding Drawings

0 68

Rahim Al-Sayed, the Iraqi painter, transfers popular poetry, songs, local idioms, and proverbs -that are held in high regard by Iraqi people- into unique paintings. This art is considered as the first of its kind in the Arab world especially in terms of fine art. This type of art is highly intricate and needs a lot of effort as it depends on transferring the words and poems to portraits that are self-expressed. Al-Sayed’s painstaking efforts to revive the fine art and to host galleries made him a pioneer in this regard.
