In conjunction with the 30th anniversary of the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, researchers confirmed that Iraq continues to pay the price for its occupation of Kuwaiti territory, noting that the gap of mistrust between the peoples of the two countries took some time before it disappeared, and that Iraqi-Kuwaiti relations became good because of the regime’s new diplomacy of standing at the same distance with all states to convey the message that Iraq is different from what it used to be before 2003.
