Russia warns Israel against annexing the Palestinian territories

On Thursday, the Russian Foreign Ministry warned the Israeli authorities of the dire consequences of its plans to impose sovereignty on large parts of the occupied Palestinian territories.

During a press briefing held on Thursday, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that any attempts by Israel to impose its sovereignty on the occupied West Bank “will put an end to the settlement horizon and cause a wave of violence.”
