GNA’s Sarraj and Italian FM discuss the developments in Libya

On Wednesday, The President of the Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Fayez Al-Sarraj, received the Italian Foreign Minister of Affairs, Luigi Di Maio, arrived in Tripoli earlier on a short visit that comes within the framework of consultation and exchange of views between the two friendly countries.

The two sides stressed the importance of returning to the political track and rejecting negative external interventions in the Libyan issue.

The meeting also touched on the European “IRINI” operation to implement the arms embargo to Libya, where Sarraj reiterated the need for the mission to be comprehensive, integrated by land, air and sea.
