Egypt announces easing precautionary measures for Coronavirus

Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly announced today, Tuesday, the reduction of the precautionary measures imposed to limit the spread of Coronavirus, indicating that some areas will be opened from next Saturday, including praying in places of worship.

Madbouly said that the government will allow the opening of restaurants, cafes and clubs, while permitting the presence of 25% of its capacity, no more, in addition to opening mosques and churches to pray from next Saturday, with a commitment not to crowd and the need to maintain divergence, but Friday prayers will remain suspended until further notice.

Madbouly added that the easing of procedures includes the return of the cinema and theater, provided that only 25% of the capacity is allowed, with the continued closure of public beaches and parks, and monitoring of development in preparation for its reopening soon.
