A number of demonstrators were injured today, Sunday, after security forces fired tear gas and bullets to disperse the protesters in al-Khilani Square, in the center of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
Student demonstrations were also launched in Baghdad and a number of southern cities, renewing its refusal to assign Muhammad Allawi to form a government, and some tribal tribes supported the Tahrir Square demonstrators in Baghdad, as a confirmation of their continued sit-in until their demands were met.
