Sistani renews his call for early elections in Iraq
On Friday, the supreme religious authority of Iraq’s Shiites, Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, condemned the use of force to evacuate protest camps across the country as security forces stepped up measures against protesters, again calling for early, free and fair elections.
