Erdogan threatens to launch a new military operation in Idlib, Syria

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday that Turkey may launch a military operation in Idlib, northwest Syria, if the situation in the region is not resolved immediately, noting that his country cannot deal with the influx of new refugees.

He added that Ankara would not allow new threats near its borders, even if that meant resorting to military force, as it had done in three military operations carried out across the border in northern Syria.
