The Iraqi president prefers resignation over the nomination of a prime minister rejected by protesters

Iraqi President Barham Salih has refused to assign the candidate of the parliamentary building bloc led by Iran-backed Hadi al-Amiri to take over as prime minister, threatening the resignation he has said he prefers to appoint a person who will be rejected by protesters.
