US State Department: Pompeo regretted the number of dead protesters in Iraq

US Secretary of State Morgan Ortagos said on Tuesday that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo “expressed regret” in a telephone conversation with Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, for the “death toll” of the protesters in the campaign launched by the Baghdad government and urged him to take immediate action to deal with the demands of the protesters.
