UN Representative: Sistani concerned about the lack of political elite to implement reforms  

Iraq’s top Shi’ite cleric, Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, has expressed concern that the political elite lacks seriousness about implementing reforms needed to quell mass protests, the UN’s special representative to Iraq said on Monday. She said Sistani believed the protesters would not return to their homes without concrete steps to meet their demands.
