Russia condemns Turkey’s proposal for a new military operation in northern Syria

Turkey’s defense ministry on Tuesday denounced Turkey’s proposal for a new military operation in northern Syria if the region is not cleared of what Ankara calls terrorists, Russian news agencies reported. This came in response to a statement made by the Turkish Foreign Minister on Monday in which he said that his country will launch a new military operation in northeastern Syria unless the area is free of the YPG.
