Libyan Oil Corporation says there are military activities in the elephant field

Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) said on Wednesday there were military activities in the elephant oil field, but there were no reports of damage to facilities or casualties.

“We call on all parties to stop operations in the vicinity of the field … Any escalation of violence will result in the evacuation of the field and the cessation of production,” NOC President Mustafa Sanaullah said in a statement.
